Hey folks!my friend has E60 545.something's wrong with transmission,it has tip-tronic and SMG too,it shifts itself, sometimes from second gear to fifth, sometimes from first gear to fourth and when you're going to stop car and going about 20-30 KM/h it shifts in fourth gear and never changes it untill you turn off the engine and start from the beggining. In my country BMW central office is dumb, there works people who doesn't know anything about transmission and ect.so i hope someone will help me,sorry for bad English,if you don't understand something ask me and i'll tell you.car is just so new and wild, with M-package and beautiful blue colour,we really can't forget about it and just throw it away,we want to fix it,but we don't know reason.contact me please.thanks

Let's not to rush, my used to be countryman, tell me please has he has SMG or Tip-tronic. It's too big differences.
If it's a just simple automatic, then check for fluid leaks near rubber sleeve for harness.

SMG are infamous for issues. I wish I could help more. If you were in the U.S. and were close I would check it out for you using BMW tools but Georgia is pretty damn far. And i don't think you're near Savannah, Georgia either! Anyway I would suggest the above and in addition if you do have an INDY shop that can check for errors, record them, clear them and reset the adaptions for you then you could see if that resolves the problem. The DME is complicated. Even a bad mass air flow sensor can throw off the tranny and even leave you stuck in safe mode aka limp mode.

Thanks a lot for every advice,me and my friends own shop,we order car parts in Europe,Dubai,USA and ect.so if i knew what the problem is,or code of the part we need,i'd order it in Germany and in one week it would be here, but no one really know what is the problem. We tryed to check the car on computer,it shows some little part, which joins SMG to engine,we ordered it,we change it but computer shows exactly the same.Sorry for bad english, wish i could explain better what the problem is,but anyway thanks everyone
