I am working on a chassis bracing under the carriage. It's would be one solid piece of 1/16 inch aluminum using existing mount sites and possibly nutcerts
It's would not weight more than 10lbs to 15lbs.
something similar to this:
this would be for the F10 models only unless i can get 25 people interested for an E60

Lift a corner of the car and you will realize how much flex there is. Just think of that creaking sound some of us get when going up a driveway. Working on Pricing with water jetting and materials place

My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
We just need to see pricing and get an idea of effectiveness. I have this one already MY Strut Tower Brace, so it has to be effective both mechanically and financially. The one I have is VERY effective

That's great for tying the suspension together, but does not solve the body flex

Maybe I'm not understanding something here, but aren't the E60 and F10 based on a uni-body design? If so, I don't see how a thin, flat, aluminum bolt-on bracket that connects to the center of the car underneath the driveshaft will help reduce body flex when compared to boxed or tubular steel Sub-frame Connectors that are welded along the sides of the car.
In either case, reducing body flex will increase stiffness and the car will feel every bump in the road. This may not be preferred in a 5er.
Interesting concept though.

i am not sure how you U understand Unibody to be, but from Wiki "This uses a system of box sections, bulkheads and tubes to provide most of the strength of the vehicle, to which the stressed skin adds relatively little strength or stiffness"
I understand not everyone w a 5er wants that stiffness, to each his own. i like my vehicles firm with low profile tires. I don't care for the boat feel of a Lexus or the disconnection from the road like a non AMG MB
For now, it's to gauge interest to decide whether or not to pay for a prototype
