In case anyone needs this in the future it's not as per photo above, it's like this:
violet/red - pin 1
black/brown - pin 3
black - pin 5
yellow - pin 6

Not yet. I haven't actually moved the power to the monitor. Checking with the xcarlink guys currently, they might be able to make a harness for the monitor, I don't want to splice any wires.
But the message doesn't seem to come up if you drive the car everyday.

I used this as a guide to build a nav harness for a non-nav E90 a few weeks ago. Pretty handy, relevant to all CCC's AFAIK.

The relay is not necessary. The power feed can be connected straight to pin 13 yes.
So snip that red power cable of the multimedia adapter which goes into pin 15 and use a scotchlock to connect it to 13 instead, that way you don't need another harness.
Not sure why the makers didn't do this before but I have told them about it that is what they have advised.
Hopefully future harnesses will be like this.
