At first I want to thank members pinguhk and ricky1329 for their great DIY!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, I stepped in to my "command center" room this morning and saw this !
What is he doing again!?

A headlamp glowing he was into something mystic...

- "Don't you worry Antti! Everything's in control!"
- "Ummmh... You sure?"

- " These are like this you see?"
- "Yeah...?"

- "So, if they were like this, ha?!"
- "Ummh...?"

- "With this!"
- "???"

At this point I remembered the Pinguhk's cluster mod and I was starting to get a glue!

I can see we're on a budget haha!

I should have known this! Eric disappeared right when the hard stuff started!
Oh man! The LEDs are smaller than a head of the matchstick! I didn't feel very comfortable to solder them myself, so I took them into a local electronic shop behind the corner. Voilá! 30 mins later the hardest part was done. Time to get back home to check if Eric was back...

Well, he wasn't, so I had to continue from there.

Looks promising.

Testing before wrapping the last parts up. And it works!

We all know how the non-M5 cluster looks like with all the orange glow (not my cluster in the pic below).

Ok. And this is how it looks with ignition all off.

And ignition on! All right!

Allright again!

Oh! Eric deigned to appear at this point, of course...

He likes it as well!

Very pleased with the outcome! Big thanks to pinguhk and ricky1329 again!
So what's next, Eric?

Wow, is there any part of that car that hasn't been removed and reinstalled by you two?

Impressive!

Awesome! Thanks for the pic of the LEDs on the circuit board especially that it shows the polarity position. What kind of silver tape did you use? Do you have a link?

I used 3M? Scotchlite? Reflective Tape 03455C. It's named silver but is almost white, actually.

Haha, nice! Surprised you didn't tackle this sooner. Ahem, Eric I mean.

The second to the last pic, Eric looks like he's humping the steering wheel. On purpose I imagine

His legs aren't very strong so he's used to rather hang on things instead. Sometimes people get the wrong impression, though...
