first off i want to thank john at motorcepts for getting this job done. he is a very freindly guy and knows pretty much everthing you can know about these E60s.

i contacted john about a week ago with a few questions on what is needed to complete the retrofit. he needed to first check my car so i met up with him at his house and he checked out my car and said he was able to do the coding without any errors or problems. I went to Motorcepts yesterday for the first time and his staff was all very nice and knew alot about the cars. This is definatly a shop i will be going to more often if there is a job i cannot do myself.

I did the LCI Adaptive Xenons on my 05 545i along with 6000K bulbs and 6000K HID halos, and LED turn signal bulbs. John did a very clean install, you cannot see any of the wiring which makes it look stock. This is definatly one of my favorite mods i have done. It realy makes the car look new and the halos can be seen very well in daylight. Here are some pics.

in the shop

pre lci are out

Did you also upgrade to the LM2 unit for this retrofit?

Looks awesome! I want to do this mod....but I JUST did my orions on my pre-lci headlights so I can't justify pulling them out already...

No I didn't. I used the light module that came with my car. My build date was 06/05, John figured out the coding for it I guess.
