I was visiting my friend Milko in Kuopio yesterday and as we agreed in another thread earlier, we decided to give their 2003 Honda HR-V a polish. The color is crystal black pearl. The car was well kept and their second car. Before we started, we took a test drive with their first car with Milko . You may see it in some pics!
Like said, the Honda was well kept, but despite that, there was some swirls and scratches. There still is, because we didn't want to make this job too far with LED lights and stuff. There wasn't too much paint either on the panels, so we decided to go easy. Milko had already washed and clayed the car when I arrived. He had also taken care with wheels and tyres. So it was an easy start for me .
I polished the car with a rotary and Milko followed with a DA. Overall we spent 4½ hours, including waxing and a great meal and dessert and outcluding wash and other preparing.
The polishing and waxing process was:
1)Polishing
- Menzerna PO85RD 3.02 + Lake Country CCS green polishing pad + FLEX PE14-2
- Britemax #4 Black Max + Lake Country CCS white light polishing pad + FLEX XC 3401 VRG
2) Wax
- Dodo Juice Purple Haze
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We didn't take many pics, unfortunately.
Only couple before pics of the paint condition:

These have been taken before wax:

BIG thanks for you Antti!
HR-V looks stunning and we decided to keep it in our garage forever
It was really interesting see how different pads and substances works together. The result was amazing.
Milko
PS. FLEX XC 3401 VRG is king of the polishing machines
