Hello!
This time I polished my co-worker's Honda Accord - metallic green. I'm not sure about the specific year, but it must be between 2001-03.
Basic set; Let's make it shine like a real daily driver should !
So I bought my first rotary this week: FLEX PE 14-2. I've been using FLEX XC 3401 VRG for now, and I'm still keeping it and planning to do finishing jobs with. For now at least. Of course it was all learning with the rotary, but I was amazed I couldn't find any holograms or buffer trails after the rotary. I wanted to be sure so I finished it with the DA. I'll write something about the PE 14-2 here.
Then we start.
The process:
1) Pre-wash
- Turtle Wax Super Detergent Spray wash
- Bilt-Hamber Autofoam
2) Wash
- Bilt-Hamber Autofoam
- Turtle Wax Big Orange (in a bucket)
- Two bucket method + a sheepskin mitt
3) Claying
- Zaino Z-18
- Bilt-Hamber Autofoam as a lubricant (works well!)
4) Polishing
- Menzerna PO85RD 3.02 + Lake Country CCS orange light cutting pad + FLEX PE14-2
- Britemax #4 Black Max + Lake Country CCS white light polishing -laikka + FLEX XC 3401 VRG
5) Sealant
- Finish Kare 1000P
6) Others
Tyres:
- Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance Tyre Gel
Black plastics and rubbers:
- AutoGlym Bumper Care
Windows
- AutoGlym Fast Glass

Wow that's amazing! I would love to have my car detailed like that....Doesn't your back hurt like hell after doing that?

Thanks Milko. Flex works great. I just have to purchase a thicker backing plate with a soft cushion to ease the handling a bit.

Haha!
Live and learn, trial and error, etc.
I've read and read and studied, but still learned many things the hard way . You got to be patient.
