Weird AC thing

So every now and then I'll hit the off button for the AC and after a few minutes it'll come back on by itself. I'll then hit off again...and bingo, it's back on. Doesn't happen all the time, but what are the possible causes?
FYI...it's not on auto program or timer.

I have this problem and it's starting to annoy the hell out of me but don't kno the cure.. =/

LOL. Funny, I had this same issue a few days ago and it started to piss me off. Then yesterday, it did the the opposite. It turned off every time I turned it on. Only thing I could think of was a possible water leak in the trunk. It started happening right before I notice water stains on both sides of headliner and c-pillar.

Hmmm. So if us three have this issue there must be more. Having said that, someone has to have found the solution. I'm perplexed....

I have the same problem too. I believe its the controller of the AC that what the advisor said, he quoted me $300 to fix it but i dont wanna spend 300 on that shit

LOL! I had the same problem. The problem is that your knob is loose (the ring around the off button). Test it out, just flick it with your finger your AC will turn on when it should be tight. I took mines to the dealer when I had warranty and they put in a new knob. No more problem

I'll try the knob tomorrow, and hope that's the cause.
