From NY to Cincinatti on 1.5 tank of gas
Long story short, filled up the tank in Queens NY, drove 330 using 3/4 of the tank. Stopped filled up and drove the rest of the way reaching Forest park Concinatti with a 1/4 of a tank! unreal! One stop! According to the trip compputer I was getting 25.2-25.5 mpg! Looking at the fuel gauge I was estimating 110 miles per 1/4 of a tank. What a great drive! I did it in 9.5 hours, drank 4 red bulls and a double shot of espresso from Starbucks
My car drove flawlessly not a shake, leak or stutter. I was a little nervous it being the first time for such a long drive but it turned out well.....put a subaru WRX in his place on the way also

Thats about what I got when I drove from the seattle, Wa area to San Diego and back. My mpg needle said I was getting a steady 20 when I hit 120 on an open stretch of I-5. These cars get great mileage for v8s.
I got the 525i for a reason... Just got 29 mpg on a 4 hour highway trip yesterday over the Cascade Mountains. The week before on the same trip I got 31 mpg, but I had a slight tail wind... I just set it on cruise control and go.Stoplight to stoplight definately kills your milage.
They do indeed.
I keep scratching my head every time I use my Durango as to why it consumes well over twice as much gas as my 550i and it doesn't have nearly as much power. The mpg readout on my Dodge consistently reports 8 - 16 mpg depending on if i'm driving by foot downtown or using cruise control on the highway respectively. Towing makes that number even lower.
