remind me.

I have an e60 2008 (LCI) 550i Manual trans. I just nee dto buy the 1st kit (pre2009) and that will have all I need to install? I am pretty handy--can I do it myself? (I have seen your prior DIYs).

Some of your pix have the colored lines as an estimate of your rear corners and some pix do not--is there a difference in kits.

thanks in advance.

Mike

Mike,

Yes, you are correct, you need 1st gen iDrive kit.

Those lines are come up when you put the gear in reverse only, if you manually turn on the rear view while driving, you won't have those guide lines.
