DIY: E60 Grocery Bag Hooks

Install these hooks in the trunk/boot to hang bags from and keep them upright. these are really nice hooks that are used in VW and Audi.
The hooks are spring loaded and stay up out of the way and are pulled down with the tab when needed.
Cost: $11.95 each + shipping from ECS tuning

The hook comes with a set of screws with a bit of thread lock already applied.
I used a T25 torx bit, 5/32 drill bit, a center punch to mark where to drill and SAFETY glasses. Drilling into the metal causes little bits to go flying about and it is right even with your eyes.
Be sure to cover the work area to catch the metal shavings from drilling
Hold the hook in place and mark one hole only and drill it. Attch the hook with the first screw THEN mark the second hole, swivel the hook out of the way and drill the second hole.
Done

These hooks are a great addition, I know them from VWs.
I also have a small grocery hook in the trunk of my touring, but its is nowhere as big and effective (and solid) as these. Well done!

That hook looks like a great addition.
Here are some pictures of 33 liter storage boxes I use to hold loose things so they don't go moving around.
I hold them in with a couple of bungee cords attached to the D-rings on the sides.
I also mounted a fire extinguisher in the trunk. I used sheet metal screws to hold it down after removing the trim piece.

Very nice thanks, I had BMW hooks and they broke had to buy new one at stealer. forget how much it costs but a lot more than these
