Hallo fellow E61 drivers.

I would love to have M-tech spoilers on my car. But every time I look for it, I always get the information " you will need a ton of extra's to fit the rear spoiler"

Does anybody know what parts they talk about?

I have looked through RealOEM and this is as far as I can find the parts:

1 x 51127033712 Carrier, bumper rear
1 x 51127060796 Bumper mounting right
1 x 51127060797 Bumper mounting left
1 x 51127897144 Guide , buttom center (uden tręk)
1 x 51127178189 Guide, buttom center (med tręk)
1 x 51717897203 cover, wheelhousing, left
1 x 51717897204 cover, wheelhousing, right

Thanks in advance

If you have PDC you will also need new sensors, and they are a different diameter on LCI versus pre-LCI

... why should it be difficult to fit the rear spoiler? Never heard of that. Just go for it!

@narvselius thanks for the link, will look into that page, looks very nice.

If you chose the M-packet for E61 they write

"For LCI cars from build of year 03/2007 are more parts necessary."

So something is needed.

I reached out to dealer on this side of the world, the standard kit was 1300, the additional parts needed to install it, including new PDCs, where an extra 1800. Holtz, I believe you are correct that you'd need new bumper mounts, but not sure what else. Garry and BMW of Newport [R.I.] was very helpful, you could probably email him to with you list to see whatelse you might need: gromani@bmwofnewport.com

if you search on this forum properly you will find the actual long list totaling roughly $3000 in parts.

($USD for US market and parts)

Just got this info from a dealer, which seems to contradict all the other info which says that you can reuse the PDC sensors... NOT true says the dealer as these are a different size. Anyway, this is the info I got for a PDC LCI car.
