I have a 2005 530i Mpsort petrol and wanted to upgrade the angel eyes. I have Xenons (single not bi-xenons and wanted to change the angel to a brighter one.

I have been reading a lot about them and just wondered everyones opinon on them.

Also is there any DIYs to do it (should not be a problem, these DIYs just make it easier to understand where everything is....)! as I have not managed to find any how to remove headlights (as this seems easier to do it with them out rather than do it in place)

The only video i could find was of a chinese guy doing it to his gold 5 series on you tube)

This is one i found on here....

Headlight removal

I was thinking on this website for the bulbs...

Angel Eye MTEC V2.1

Licence plate LED (239 LED bulbs)

These will be to replace the stock parts (direct replacement)

Anyone had any experience with this company and these bulbs? Just would like to know

Many thanks!!

those license plate LEDs may throw error codes. Mine do not throw error codes.

As for MTEC V2.1, I sell those as well.

Be careful which D1S low beam bulbs u buy. MANY of them throw an error code and flicker like crazy.

I'll send u a PM

All LEDs tend to flicker for a few seconds when u start the car. Nothing to worry about

CREE LEDs are standard on some of brabus ( john's ) products; including new MTEC angel eyes and plate lamps

I highly recommend his MTEC license plate lamps

But not flicker for 15 seconds though. Maybe 2-3 seconds. There's something else going on if your LED is flickering for 15 seconds at start up.
