Hi all,

Bought a 2007 E60 535D and the car and phone will not pair up.

Basically I go into the bluetooth settings, the bluetooth is on both in the car and phone, the phone is a Nokia E52 I updated its firmware today also. When I search for new device on the phone it picks up the "BMWxxxxx" when I hit select it says on the iDrive screen "add recipient" when I click add the iDrive says "set password" at this stage ive tried everything 0000, 0123, 1234 etc etc and when I enter it the phone says "cannot add device" as soon as I click the password on iDrive. It doesnt even ask to add the same password on my phone.

Dont know what to do, tried everything, tried another phone also, seems the previous owner had an iphone and it worked with it, ive deleted all the previous phones so that cant be it, also deleted all the messages on my phone like another mechanic suggested and still the same problem.

Any help at all?????????

Got it sorted! Pulled down on controller rather than press down! Weird! But worked!
