my aunt owns an ibis white + ice silver side blade ; I drove it last time I was in LA and it is a solid solid supercar; not hyper but definitely super -- the ride was surprisingly more comfortable than I expected ... and it just didn't feel tight at all; kind of lexus-y but not quite -- it does feel a big bulgy. I was too pussy to test the limits of the car but it had grip grip and more grip.
Also another point.. the motor sound was low inside the cabin; but this does have the RS4 motor in it and its the 4.2 v8 and not the 5.2 v10
Either way you can't go wrong with one; I think red white and pearl black are the best colors

My Ride: 09 M5 (E60) Interlagos blue, Silverstone interior, with cold weather package. Adaptive Xenon headlamps and adaptive brake lights, hud, comfort access. Comfort seats, basically fully loaded.
lol i was so big on an r8 recently but for the V10, i'd seriously tell you that v8 is a waste of money, No HP for the looks. M5 wud spank it all around.
I'd def tell you to get an M5 if you wanna have fun.

Presently looking at the V10.... We'll see how that goes...probably within a week or so, I should have my decision.....but I'm still keeping the BMW --- or selling it off and getting my wife a 335i convert...

The R8 is a beautiful car with solid reviews for its handling
Get the V10. Near Gallardo levels of power for a lot less bank. But at that price point I would give the 911 Turbo a serious look.

hrmm, kind of an odd comparison. the r8 is a sport's car, the m5 is not. the m5 is a beast of a car, but really it's a sedan with a racecar engine. if you want the luxuries of the space in the sedan, get the m5. if you want a sport's car, get the r8. the power isn't the comparison point in this discussion as i think they are both comparable, it's more about the kind of car you are partial too (or the manufacturer). i am not partial to any particular car manufacturer and when it comes to speed i prefer sport's cars, and i would easily choose the r8. also it is much rarer around my neighborhood (DFW), and i think that accounts for something.

My Ride: 2004 E61 530D - Dynamic Drive - Active Front Steering Sport Seats - Voice Control - Head Up Display - Nav Pro - Bluetooth - Panoramic roof - Front/rear heated seats
I think it is too much of a compromise, can not comment on the V10 however. That is rumoured to be quite a different car as opposed to a simple engine swap...
