I already shot out a group PM to most of the people I could locate using the search function, but I'm sure there are plenty more out there who I may have missed. I've been getting a decent amount of feedback from everyone, but it was becoming a bit hectic replying to a bunch of personal messages so just to alleviate some info that may get mixed up along the way I just decided to start a thread.

Here is the meat and potatoes

The meet will happen during one of these weekends in September: 17/ 18 or 24/ 25.

I understand that many members live deep into Virginia and also have hectic work schedules so it may not be feasible to do the meet in the DC metro area and need a sufficient amount of notice beforehand so maybe we all can figure out the best plan and work around it. Like I mentioned in my PM to all of you I think it would be pretty slick if we could take our group shot around one of the DC landmarks, but the only way that will be possible is if we do the photo really late as most of you know it is tourist season right about now and many cars and pedestrians will be in the way. If anybody knows of any fund routes to take us on maybe we can start the meet off somewhere in VA and end up in DC to take the photos.

Hope this thread gets put to use, otherwise I guess we'll just stick it to PM. It's not going to be anywhere near the NorCal meet, but it would be great to have something set up.

--- I attached some old and recent photos I took by myself and then with a buddy of mine who drives an E30 M3. The good thing about it is that the parking lot is huge and we pretty much have free reign to park however way we want in front of the Capitol.

There's been plenty of interest, but no solid forward movement has been made just yet on which weekend this will all go down on. There really is not much of a choice its either going to be the weekend of the 17th or the 24th. My schedule is not demanding at all so until we all start to collaborate on this Im afraid it may not happen.

I really would love it for someone who is familiar with the area to take us on a nice route where we can have a fun drive and then end up taking the shots in DC, but like I said I'm not really familiar with the Richmond/ VA area so my part comes in when we start taking photos in the DC metro area. If this doesn't happen I'm almost tempted to go to that humungous Euro car meet in NY.
