I've considered getting the 7er style 149s in the past, but could never imagine what they look like on an E60 M-Sport. I just came across this picture of the OEM 20" style 149 (7er) rims on an E60 M-Sport and I really like them!
You can get these second hand quite easily, so I might actually go for it and buy a set
What do you think?

thanks for the feedback guys -- much appreciated
I have the 128s on my car at the moment, so agree what you say about the concavity. The 149 is very flat and has no lip, which makes it very different from pretty much every other OEM E60-fitting wheel out there.
I think that's what's going through my mind too, however its still a good look IMHO
Very sound advice, thanks, but I am in 2 minds about the rims, because there are other rims I also like -- its the usual modding vs. spending mind games
As for the width on the front, there are a number of good Posts that I have found here about what tyres to put on the 7er 20" OEMs, so I think I am safe on that front.
Exactly!!!! However these are absolutely impossible to find I have never seen a set of OEM 32s in 20" being advertised in Germany/Europe
My order of preference is: 1) style 32 OEM 20" , 2) style M101 OEM 20" , 3) style 149 OEM 20"
Seeing as I don't want to lower the car due to it being used in the inner city, but want to close the gap from wheel to arch, 20s seem the right choice.
The 20" M101s are available from time to time, but are typically EUR 1000 more than style 149, which come up for sale quite often. As it happens, I have found a set of 149s and a set of M101s. After seeing the picture of the 149s, I started questioning whether the M101s are worth an extra 1000 Euros and I'm struggling to justify it!
149's 20"
OR...
M101 20"
What to do?!
