Default Wheel and tire size check

Hey guys,

I was researching up some wheel specs on the forums and I've "kinda" figured out what I think will work. Here's where I am:

OEM Wheels Plus BM521 19" Machined Gunmetal

19x8.5 ET35 Fronts
19x9.5 ET38 Rears

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110

245/35R19 Fronts
275/30R19 Rears

I like closer to stock/conservative wheel protrusions, and I'm deathly afraid of the tires pokin' out visibly when looking from the rear. At most, flush up against the body is as far as I like to see the wheels go. Does anyone know if these wheels will work fine? Or should I go square setup with just the fronts?

Thanks!

What car do you have?

Those offsets are more likely to be used with an AWD model, not with a RWD.

Ahh! I always forget that the lucky folks not in the US get access to the RWD models of the wagon.

Yes, I have the 535xi Touring.

Well I can confirm that the E60 M5 wheels will NOT fit on the 535xi wagon. Just found that out today
Apparently the offset is not correct to fit the 535xi because if you turned the wheel 1/4 turn it would smack the fender. Dang!

The other obvious reason is that m5 oem front wheels stick out considerably past the fender on an e61

Those offsets and widths are not even close to sticking out too far. I have 8.5" ET 29 on my front and they are just about perfect. I went with the same in the rear but have lots of room left had I wanted a 9.5"

Your selection will be just fine and should look nice while retaining practical use.

Instead of selling our E61 (535XI 08 with 120K) we have decided to invest a bit on cleaning up the body and some go faster stuff including a catted down pipe. I just found these from an E46:

OEM Type 198

19 inch wheels and tires.

Staggered setupFront ET 37 19X8 with 245/40/19

REAR ET 39 19X9 with 275/35/19

I don't want to rub anywhere. It appears I will be OK, but I am wondering if the offset will be OK. Your help is much appreciated.

Well sunny beaches.
They seem to work fine on mine with no smack
