Default TPMS Malfunctioning error code

Hi, I put a set of steel wheels on my 2009 E61. Now the Tire Pressure Monitor light won't go off and I have an error code on my screen for "TPMS Malfunction". Is there a solution for this?

Thanks!

Did the wheels have BMW-compatible TPMS sensors?

If not, you need to buy a set, and have them installed, and the wheels rebalanced ($60 at my local Discount Tire).

Or you could just ignore the TPMS light. ;-)

Did you move the TPMS sensors over from the previous wheels?
