Tires help
#11
Thanks for the compliment. I have some 12.5mm spacers that I ran on the rears for about a week, but found that they rubbed on deep dips, so I took them off. So, it would seem that the 285's are ok for vertical travel up inside the wheel well since I don't rub ever on the back now. Fronts are a different story. They do rub if I don't watch out for dips. I'll be trying a 245/35 next time. And also, I really like the Sumitomo's on the back. I have Continental DW's on the front, they're not very sticky, too much groove, not enough tread. It could be the 40 series factor, but they feel too soft for me. Feels like the car leans over on the sidewall in a hard corner. just some extra info for the tire shoppers out there
