Default Tire or rim problem?

I have continental DWS tires on my 166 M5 rims
The problem is that I have these cats on the tires where the rim meets or hits it.
I had to replace two almost new tires become of this cuts. I am running 32-35 pressure front and back. This is annoying and frustrating. Want to know if anyone have similar problem. Is this rims or tire design? Thinking that most likely tires because of that kind of groove it has around. Need your opinion?
Thanks

That looks like a combination of low tire pressure + impact damage. Check your driver-side door jamb for label and the proper tire pressure. How certain are you that you didn't encounter a NY sink hole??

that's is the pressure what the shop recommended after replacing two tires with same problem not long ago. do you think i should run higher pressure? i also had 36-40psi before replacing them but same happened
sure I hit the NY famous bumps and potholes but not crazy ones. that's why i wonted to find out is someone had these set up here and similar problem but anyway
I decided to change the brand and ordered the set of Michelin pilot A/S.
I am also thinking to let the shop round the rim lip more as they seam sharp to me to prevent cuts again
