Default Tire Help

I’m currently running style 95 wheels on my 05’ 545i with a tire size in front of 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 in rear. Would I be able to put on 245/40/19 in the front without rub or any adverse effects? Any assistance will be appreciated.

You will be ok with 245/40/19. Thats what I'm running right now. I run 275/35/19 in the back. I dont know if running 40 series tires in the front and 30 in the back will have a negative effect on anything.

I would recommend sticking to the recommended sizes of 245/35 and 275/30, which is plenty of sidewall for a 19" wheel.

I would agree. My 245/40's (pictured) rub slightly sometimes. I'll be going with a 35 series next time around.

The tread feels a little soft or spongy for my taste. Some of that feeling can be attributed to them being a taller 40 series tire, but it just feels slippery if you push it hard into a turn.

On the positive side, they're quiet, ride well, and are great in the rain. I just noticed you said DWS, these are just DW. I had DWS on when it had the 18" style 123 wheels, they were stickier than the DW.

I have Sumitomos on the back that I got from tire rack for a good price. 285/35/19. No size issues in the back and i really like this tire. I will get them for the fronts next.
