Default Spacers on rear wheels

Hi,
I just bought m172 wheels on my pre LCI e61. What is the maximum spacer size that I can fit on rear wheels without rubbing issues? Rear wheels are 275 30 19 / m172.
I want to fit 20mm spacers...
thnx

no way; I won an ebay auction 15 minutes ago for a pair of 172m's as well.

I don't know the specific answer to your question but I know that for an LCI, you should fit 10-15mm spacers and preferably 15mm.

Those wheels are A W E S O M E - so congrats to us..

The largest I would use is 18mm but,you can use 15mm with no issues.I'd say 10mm won't give you enough clearance from the inner arch.

I used 18mm on my last 61 and my current one I use 15mm with staggered style 124's

I have ET17 on my rear rims (9,5" with 275/30-19) which is equal to a M172 (ET32) with a 15mm spacer and that is far from any issues. I see no problem to go with a 20mm spacer.

Default Style 293

Hey all -
Have a 2008 535xi and have a line on a set of style 293 wheels - have been playing around with willtheyfit.com and am concerned with the size of spacer that might be required to event things out and bring things into alignment with the stock set up.

Am I overthinking and a 15 - 20mm spacer should be no big deal?

Okay...I've dug into the "Will they fit" modeling tool and I'm still unsure...so...hoping you all here can help me feel a bit more confident about my wheel choice.
I picked up a set of Style 67 18s (Staggered)

18x8 ET 47 Fronts - Current tire 225 45 18
18 9 ET 26 Rears - Current tire 255 40 18

Looks like to mirror the stock 17 x 7.5 rim I might want a 15mm spacer on the front? Am I thinking about this correctly? I think I'm trying to maintain distance from strut to be better or consistent with stock.

My rolling diameter
stock up front is 656.8 MM and new would be 661.2MM
stock rear is 656.8MM and new would be 659.7MM

My current thinking is that rolling diameter is crucial to maintain very close to stock especially on AWD and clearance (strut) is also crucial to maintain.

Am I thinking about this correctly?

My other option is to go with a Square set up - I have 2 complete sets of the staggered 67s
