putting M5 wheels on a 525i
A friend of mine who owns a tire & wheel place offered me a set of used OEM M5 wheels to put on my 525i. Is there anything I would have to do regarding the computer ex: error codes or anything of that matter? And any opinions on the Hancook evo v12 tires? That's what I was planning on using.

My Ride: 530I Silver gray with gray leather with Premium Package, Logic 7 Premium sound system with Ipod interface, xenon adaptive headlights, Active steering, Power retractable rear sunshade, Comfort seats, Cold weather package and M5 OEM 166 wheels, Sprintbooster. Ceramic Tint all around, Bilstein Sports shocks with Eibach springs, Brake performance Rotors and Axxis ceramic pads.
I have in on my 530I and no issues at all. You might have to lower your car for better stance. GL

Nothing to worry. They would look great on your car. For better stance, I'd add spacers to push the rims out more, so they are flush with fenders.

I've said this many times before but yes there will be a problem...
looking to damn good .
I've got the Hankook Ventus Evo 12 tires and they are one of the best bang for your buck tires (same class as like Falken 452s). I think the other members are saying it'll look dumb is because OEM M5 suspension sits a lot lower than OEM non-M and to my belief, it is even lower than the the non-M OEM sport suspension. They are great wheels though, and recommend throwing them on your ride.

if straight off of an M5, the tire sizes used on the M5 will not be able to be used on your e60. for your e60, recommended tire sizes are 245/35/19 and 275/30/19
