I have a Metallic Silver 2008 528XI and debating to have my stock wheels powder coated. Just wondering what color would look best as I am considering a gun metal or black? Matte finish or glossy? Any suggestions or photos of your wheels on a silver car?

How much money are you going to spend on powder coating? If it's a DIY then gunmetal, but if you're doing it legit as in dismounting the tires and getting it done by a pro shop I would just fork over extra 2 or 3 hundred bucks and get some aftermarket wheels.. (18's at the least) Those stock wheels are not worth the money you'd be spending on a professional job.

+1 on that. Was going to say the same earlier. I painted factory wheels a while ago and as soon as I got them back I wished I had just bought new ones (which I did anyway).

Agree 100 on not painting stock wheels. Even at a cheep price of around $300-400 it's not worth it. Add another $400 and get yourself a set of VMR wheels. VMR runs specials a lot on free power casting with the purchase of new wheels. As far as color on a silver go with black in Semi gloss or matte.
