OEM tires are the best tires ???

We have a M5 with stock tire is Michelin ... We changed out with after market tire is Pirelli.
We have other Bmw 530I with stock tire is Continental ... We changed out with after market tire is Yokohama.
*** We have had baaad experience with Michelin tires ... Even if they are free ... I will not drive/ ride on them.

If english is your second language, you're excused. If it's not, the Texas school system failed you miserably. Great review of your tire experience. Very telling.
Good luck with your "after market tires". Michelin is probably devastated to have lost you as a customer.

My Ride: 2004 BMW E60 530i, upgrades: Magnaflow exhaust, Mtec angel eyes and low beam head lights, Just purchased 172 style wheels, looking around for the best tires on Tire Rack now. R1 concepts rotors drilled/slotted. Saving for the M-style kit from Trinity Auto.

I used Michelin Pilot PS2 on my car twice and no problems on my 530i. I just upgraded my wheels to the 172 style and have Falken 452's on them, waiting to see how long they last

My Ride: 2008 550i sport package
We changed out M5 non run flat tires with Pirelli vs. OEM Michelin non run flat tires and
530I non run flat tires with Yokohama 580 vs. OEM Continental tires.
Our experiences say that OEM tires grab road better in 100+mph and /or in wet road conditions.
*** We need your inputs/ experiences on tires. *** All our wheels/ suspensions are non-modified.

With the OEM Continental tires, I feel my car has no roll over feel (or jelly /balloon feeling) and more importantly the DTC system never has to activate. On the new 4 Yokohama tires now, DTC activates on the turn almost always (9 out of 10 turns). However, my guess is the Yokohama 580 tire has softer compound material vs. the OEM Continental tire.
I'm satisfied with Yokohama tire when it has no rain and it is under 90mph ride.
