Help direct me gents - quick wheel poll
Evening everyone -
I'm new around here, thanks for the warm welcome, lot's of help already from a number of you via PM. I recently purchased a 2010 E61 with 73,000 miles on it and it's been in the shop for the last 3.5 weeks, dealer then indy shop but I brought it home today finally.
Time for new wheels.. after spending too much time searching for used OEM wheels I am close to pulling the trigger on 18 x8 BBS SR wheels in anthracite grey which are offered in ET44 and ET32.
My question please: Do I stay close to stock offset and get the 44 offset or will it look better if I get the 32 offset and move the wheels out the 11mm (from stock 43)?
I am planning on going with 235/45/18 tires unless I hear otherwise here. The reason is I live in MI and our roads are the worst so I really don't want a 40 profile @ 245/40/18. I have searched and it sounds like 245/45/18 would fit but Discount Tire Direct lists the 235/45/18 as a +1 option, so I was just trying to go with a documented certainty.
My car currently has stock OEM 17s.
Thanks all!

Assuming you have x drive as well (you mentioned stock 44).. go with 32, looks much better I don't have a wagon, but a sedan.. and I even pushed the rears out a bit more with spacers and it looks great. I'm running 19's and I swap from winter to summer wheels, but the ride will definitely be a bit more forgiving with the 45 profile, plus the wheel gap won't be so much.

Thanks @rice_rocket88 . Yes, sorry, x-drive. I originally posted in the E61 forum and since all our E61s are x-drive I didn't specify but I understandably got moved to "wheels and tires" Stock is 43 offset.
What size are your tires? Do you think I am safe going with a 235/45/18 or 245/45/18 ? I want the 45 profile since our roads are so awful. Appreciate your reply!
