Default Having Wheels Rubbing Problems need help!

Hi everyone, I currently got 2008 white e60 and purchased a set of e60 M5 oem wheels. Right now the tires in fronts are 255/40/19. My car is lowered on Eibach sports springs installed by Trinity autosports. I have done a minor fender roll and got an alignment (-1.0 in the front which is maximum camber according to specs) after I had my springs and wheels installed. The current issue I am having is the front wheels are rubbing against where the fender and the front bumper meet where the tabs are located. The passenger side rub more often than the driver side. Do you guys think there is an issue with the drop maybe uneven? I want to eliminate the rubbing but I do not want to resort to doing a fender flare for the wheels to stop rubbing. I was thinking of purchasing smaller tires and stretching them? Do you guys have any ideas or options I can take to help eliminate my problem?

Thanks,
J

that tire size is standard for the 166 wheel on an M5, but on a non-M the recommended tire size is 245/35/19

Hmmm...I maybe wrong, but I think the fronts should be 255/35/19?

Thumbs up

Ok thanks guys. I'm guessing the smaller tire size is my first option though 10mm smaller should be a slight help to my issue but I doubt that it will eliminate rubbing entirely especially on freeways or with passengers. I really want to eliminate the rubbing issue entirely. Nerweezy suggestion might work. Have you seen anyone running that size with non-m fenders and how did it turn out for them?

Thanks.

The difference between the 255/40 R19 and 245/35 R19 is quite markable, actually.

I haven't heard of anyone with 245/35/19 tires rubbing at all. That is the recommended size for non-M cars. I have heard of many trying to run 255/40/19 on non-M cars rubbing all the time.

A 255 is just a tad too wide but a little fender rolling fixed that issue for me.
