what is the reccomended Tyre Pressure for 245/40 - 18" H M/S?

Refer to the label on your driver's door post. Most adjust from there with their personal preferences.

Are you sure those aren't 245/45-18 tyres? Which is the proper size for 18" tires. At any rate, my manual states that for 245/45-18 tires the pressures are 35 F 38 R.

I just revisited my manual and I am wrong - the manual does state 35 psig for Fr and 38 psig for R for 245/40-18 tires. Same for winter tires.
