I think the reason most Xi owners go with 19 is more practical, than anything else - most Xi owners live in colder climates and roads are worse.

Also, the matching of the overall rolling diameters of front to rear wheels is harder with 20s, the discrepancy is higher. But that only matters for staggered setups.

Other than the above, I see no reason why 20s are any problem at all for Xi. Just a personal preference - maybe you should be the first one to try it out

to the forum, BTW

thanks : ) yeah bro im in jersey so the roads are not that great, but im really looking into 20's than 19's

forgestar f10 comes with the following size options

20×8.5 offsets from +30 to +50
20×9.0 offsets from +18 to +56
20×10.5 offsets from +20 to +45

i wanna go staggered but based on ur post i cant widen the rear that much

I know all about the options that Forgestar offers LOL

With staggered AND 20s, you're really a pioneer - which means you're gonna have to get to measuring how much space there is in the wheel well. Both - inside and outside. Don't forget that the wheel need some slack in there as well, so you'll have to account for that. As long as you measure everything correctly, you should be fine. But I don't think anyone has done anything like this on the Xi, so you're literally going to have to experiment on your own ride.

Have you ever dealt with calculating offsets/fitting aftermarket wheels before? You sound like you know a little bit about it...

i know a bit, but im just not familiar with this one its my first euro car lol.
mainly just 2 things im worried about, messing up the diff due to a wrong staggered set up and setting off any codes.

other than that, im willing to roll my fenders ehehehe
might be stopping by my friends shop tmmorow, ill see if we can do some measurements.
just wanna be real sure before i order anything

Diameter Calculator/Comparison Tool

Offset Calculator

That'll get you started in the right direction

It's been done before ... at least members KU530 & Saridi were using 20" (and lowered w/ H&R sport spring) setup on their previous xi way back.
If you do a search on them you'll see pics of their xi w/ 20" ...
