Hey, there's nothing wrong with driving safely! It sure is nice though to have the Beemer to maneuver when needed. I would imagine with your set up, the car sticks on the road like glue.

I'm brand new to this forum. I just bought a 2004 530i with the sport package and I'm loving it. I'd like to buy some new or used wheels for the car and use wider tires simply for the looks. I'd LOVE to throw some 19" wheels with 305/30's on the rear and 255/35's on the front. Is anyone running this set-up? Are there any rubbing problems? If not, what are the offsets for the wheels?

When the tires went on, no apparent rubbing anywhere, checked on the lift and on the ground, lock to lock. Look is nice.
No rubbing evident when driving. But six months later I find wear on the front struts. From the location, it is apparent that there is a slight tire rub at lock. Apparently the change in tire dynamics and relation to the rim under load and in motion create rub, imperceptible but causing damage over time.
I'm still fooling around resolving. 5mm spacers were perfect solution, but the ones I could find that thin aren't hub centric. They proved difficult to center precisely and I got a front end shudder that couldn't be fully resolved.
My shop shaved the struts slightly to cure the immediate problem, I'm thinking about trying 10mm spacer as a next step. That's where it all stands.

My Ride: 2008 528i
Really not any problems as yet... But I have the regular suspension, not sport. I have a 528i lci, They fit really good and perfect. Here down south, there is few shops that really specialize on giving you the best sets you could possible find. I run the crap out of this car, and so far so good, not worry on pot holes or nothing. My experience so far.
