Can I put this tire size on the front with no modifications or would it have to be 245/35/20?

The middle number is the aspect ratio for the length of the sidewall. That won't affect fitment. Depending on how your vehicle sits, 20s might be tight.

245/30/20 front, 285/25/20 rear, I believe i will go 35 front andceither 35 or 49 rear eventuy.
