Hello, so we put the 172 saloon 19” spiders on our E61 pre lci 18 months ago. They are 8.5 on front and 9.5 at back. We have 245/35/19 tyres on front, 275/30/19 on back, new Eagle F1’s put on 18 months ago. My husband went with the 15mm spacers on rear. Had some vibration at high speeds and took into tyre shop today and they need changing already due to inner tyre wear. You can see in the photos I took whilst on the ramp how the tread on the tyres are still good but the inside is buggered. Our tracking was out which has been done today but I’m concerned this unusual wear is because of the larger wheels on the back and not just tracking. What do you guys think?
Thanks
Toe/tracking causes the wear, not the width. This could be down to misalignment or worn bushes, or both. Personally, as it's only on the very edge, and no illegal, I'd just swap the tyres round so that was on the outside and have the geo set up done.
