Dunlop 3D snows work very well in the land of snow.Ordered them from Tirerack and have been very happy . Hankook summer tires on 19" for the rest of the year.

Anyone have experience with Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60's? I've been thinking about those and seem to do pretty well in online reviews.

I had Bilizzaks on my RWD 911 and really liked them. Fantastic in the snow, great in wet, average on dry roads.

Dedicated snows, of the proper size, will make your all wheel unstoppable! You're in upstate NY so you probably know the better way to go in the snow is proper sized narrow not wide low-profile tires. Tirerack recommendations are very good and if you shop/buy through the link in my signature you'll earn additional rebates.

With Hakkapeliitta type 4 snows, my 535xi climbs trees.

Dunlop wintersport M3's make my 550 a great ski taxi-- drive up north regularly (mountains), and we have awful winters
