I know those filters from other places... and there's allways a way around.

Something that makes our community so special is the fact that we don't have many rules. We judge by common sense.
When speaking about other places we also have to keep in mind that mostly they don't allow too much non-sense posts/threads.

Our forums are entertaining, they are fun, and we learn a lot about our cars.
If there's too much swearing... we will react. There's a report feature.

Kids looking over your shoulder... Well, I don't think there's something here that would be new to them...
I know there's a lot of swearing in school...

Now, back to the filter... I don't think there is one for this software. All the IPB forums I have seen didn't used such filters...

But that is a question that Lomag can answer.

I think this forum is as great as it is because of the freedom it has.

I can't say I've noticed that much profanity on here. If your kids have watched TV past the watershed in the UK then I am sure the've heard much worse. If you don't let them stay up and watch that kind of thing then maybe you shouldn't let them read over your back either for the same reason

I am not offended by swearing, but I think it lowers the collective IQ. I love this forum and don't think it needs any filters, but I would challenge people to using colourful language for the sake of effect, rather than as a standard descriptor for everything.
