With my recent aquisition, I had been looking for a tech-driven BMW community. A task which turned out to be more difficult than I would have expected. I am here for tech.
I seriously considered starting up a new BMW forum myself as they all appear to be pretty low-tech, generally silly, and catered to the average 14year old drifter with dubs. Give me tech. Give me engineering. Give me SCCA or NASA racing discussions. I would love to see a hardcore tech-driven BMW site. This site seems to be better than any other BMW site I found with the tech to BS content, something the mods should be proud of.
If I want to see the picture of one's car, I'll take a gander at the posters avatar or ask for pics. Agreed with the mods statement regarding sigs. Sigs are helpfull. But Sigs can be brief and do not need to be a kindergarten collage of your favorite pictures.

I would also suggest that your comments quoted above would fall into the "14 year old drifter with dubs" category. Funny that you jump on the forum acting like "Mr. Serious tech guy" but have spent much of your time complaining about sigs and making kindergarten cultural references. Some of the smartest, most informed BMW owners on the web are here. Also why I joined. Been here for a year and never been distracted, disturbed, annoyed by anyone's sig. To be honest, I hardly ever even notice them... until now that is.
To the mods... I think sigs should be left alone until the site restricts the size. If you want the size limited, then place limits in the software. If you start this report each other..., notify the mods..., if I see it..., crap, then we are bound to see more of this https://5series.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=89209

If you are here for tech, then how bout posting tech questions and answers? As you can see, this forum has both tech and non-tech sub-forums. If you are here for tech, stay in the tech sub-forms and turn off the sig option as others have mentioned.
