Mods,

This site has some great tech, but the signatures are some of the most out of control I have seen on any site. We already have avatars, do we really need 480+ pixels of your damn car on every post? I'd prefer killing the sig pics all together, but can we at least establish some sane limit on the size?

Here's just a quick snapshot of other threads complaining about this:

I don't really have an issue with this either way, but I kind of like the photo sigs. Gives you a chance to see a variety of different mods that you might otherwise not run across. If you really wanted to shorten the sigs, you could leave the pics and provide a link to a list of the mods. Just my think on it... I think quite a few have already been shortened fairly recently.

You can turn the signatures off if you don't want to see them.

Sigs themselves are helpfull to understand the context of the question/answer being discussed. It just becomes ridiculousness with constant 200x400 + pics in every freeking post.

Slightly off topic but is there a similar way to block a member's Avatar that contains the "F***" word? Keeping that out of sight when my wife and daughter look at the site is difficult. Thanks.

Turn the sig feature off. I do, from time to time.
