My signature was too long, because of all the gadgets my car has, so I decided to shrink it to a minimum and leave a link. I think this is the best way of doing it. Pics in sigs are the most annoying thing to me, not the text. The pics make it difficult, longer loading times, page scrolls/jumps up and down while loading...
But overall, I can't complain. When looking on other forums it is much worse, so I think we are doing fine here on our forum.

More discipline when posting and "quoting" would be nice though...

I agree with Iceman that the sig pics start to get a bit annoying. One bad thing about having a bunch of text in the sigs -- especially if we list the options we have on our cars (and I'm as guilty of this as anyone) is that the Google search picks up that text and indexes it with the page. It makes it hard to find certain things using the actual option as the search word. For example, if I want to find a topic dealing with HUD and I use "HUD" as a search term, any post from a user that has "HUD" in his signature is returned...
