It looks like the only way to search multiple for multiple words in the forum is with a default 'OR' (the search returns threads with any of the words). Eg. If you search for "grey M5 mirrors" you get hundreds of results for threads containing "grey" or "M5" or "mirrors".

It would be nice if the default operator was AND, or if AND was specifiable in the advanced search. This is the way most searches (google, etc.) work, and makes it easier to find specific threads, in my opinion.

Maybe there already is an option or special word (AND, &, &&) that allows this searching, but I haven't been able to find it. I think this changed with the revamp of the forums, maybe the original seach approach can be added back as an option.

I agree. I really think this needs to be looked at, or if there is a good guide to show commands for searching for all the words together instead of individually. The search function on this forum is the worst I've seen. I have better luck finding threads on this forum using Google rather than the native search function.

Although I agree the search engine isn't the best, take a look at the following thread and pay particular attention to the part that talk about using the "+" sign...it may help you folks out a bit.
