Hello,

Finally got the guts to remove the engine cover and follow a DIY relating to the engine breather and air filter change. The most difficult car DIY I had done before was changing a car battery and that was with my dad's help. Anyway I would never had touched the bonnet, let alone the engine, if it wasn't for the useful info and DIY posts on this forum. These posts have given me so much confidence in doing some maintainence work myself and it makes it more worthwhile knowing that I can teach my son something about maintaining cars when he is older.

Thanks again and I hope to have a useful DIY/information up soon.

Jas

+2. This board survives on the donations of its members. Unlike another prominent BMW forum that I won't name (which at times seems like a mere tool for sponsor car dealerships to attempt to generate buzz to artifically inflate the selling prices of our cars) this forum is very non-commercial.

The admins could make a ton of money off this board if they wanted by making this board very commercial but they don't.

That's why donations are so vital here.
