From experience add a new post with some URLs in it. Then post it and later come back to Quick Edit it and add some more text without touching the URLs. When you post it this time the URLs get completely messed up.

Well lets see how that works...

Here's a URL to your post above:
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=484115

I guess now I have to post this and go back and edit it, right?

edit: Here I am, back for more...

edit2: Wow, the URL takes me to the main index now. Lomag! Time to open another ticket!! :o

edit3: And after the second edit, the URL has some <a> and </a> html tags added but the link works again now... :nono:

Post edits are not allowed after 60 minutes. I've checked the settings and that restriction doesn't apply to the Contributors group. It seems to always have been this way so that is nothing new however this HTML issue is a real problem. I acctually noticed it myslf when I edited my signature, I got html code displayed on the forum. I'll make a ticket with the IPB folks again. *sighs*

Mark, FYI, the moderators group isn't able to edit a post after 60 minutes -- are you trying to say I need to contribute again so I can get that feature? ;)

Thanks for fixing that Lomag!

Now, just because I enjoy opening cans of worms, I'd like to remind you of how things used to be in the not-so-distant past... :P

I think Lomag was referring to the EDIT button now being available to the moderators group past the old one-hour time limit. Are you saying you don't see the edit button now for your posts?

(The URL bug is still open with the IPB folks, I think...)

Lomag Oct 22, 2007 01:43 PM

Hey guys,

The URL bug should be fixed now too. Please try it out and let me know.
