I'm also having this error (You are not allowed to use the messenger feature on this board). Is PM still disabled for (some of) us?

PM's are disabled for all new members. Once you have made 5 posts it will be automatically enabled. Unfortunately, this restriction had to be put into place after the recent mass PM spam incident.
