This was discussed previously...

There is a meet & greet forum and a forum for dealer purchasing & service, where such discussions can take place.
Creating regional forums would be a big mess, since we are a worldwide forum.
So there would be too many regional forums.

There are "regional" threads allready in the forums.

But it wouldn't make much sense to create regional forums...

And while you're at it, state where you are from in your profile.

Yeah, I agree with Iceman -- having too many regional subforum categories would clutter up the whole forum and most wouldn't even visit outside their own.

Having a subforum thread is the best idea, just like the ones on here now: Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, etc. Also allows all readers from all over the world to check it out as well.

Another reason is I don't think there's enough traffic per region to warrant having separate categories.....

So if you don't have a subforum thread for your area, why not think of making one? That would solve all the 'meets/shops/best deals' part of it, right?

All of the above is just IMHO.

YMMV

oh really? because I see the regional sections on all other forums and they are quite helpful but I guess since there are threads with the area's in them already then it wouldn't make a difference..

tru, have seen regional sections in other forums as well, and I have also witnessed multiposts due to too many sections...the threads already created regarding regions are pretty easy to use, just have to get used to finding/using them. As stated before by C's, perhaps if you post your location somewhere we can point you to members local to you thread and/or meet and greet, or members local to you can find you....enjoy the forums
