it will get more feedback here, since this relates directly to this section
...

Sorry, but it has to be posted in the forum it belongs to, not the one you think it gets more feedback!!!
If we do it your way we will have a useless search function and people posting wherever they want.
It is allready a shame to see how many just post in the main forum, ignoring the other forums!

This topic has been discussed allready, as you can find in the correct forum this thread has been moved now.
Too many forums are not a good idea. But our admin Lomag "might" do it anyways... -> allready discussed...

I come to the classifieds to look for something and there is always WTB's everywhere! Other forums i frequent have their own WTB sections. Just a suggestion.
Sincerely,
Ryan
I have bought about a dozen items in the FS section in the past year. Many times I see an item vaguely listed like a FS item, it is actually a WTB item. I discover this after I click on it. Frustrating.

In my opinion, two separate sections would be helpful to us loyal members.

And what next?

Seperate WTB and FS sections with seperate forums for wheels, for body parts, etc.... split up in regions?
If we end up with 100 forums people will complain about that too.

Remember guys, this is NOT a sales site, it's a forum for enthusiasts to discuss everything related to their cars.

You are certainly right about not having too many
sales-related forums. My old winter wheels I used for one season on my Infiniti M45 Sport are up for sale on an Infiniti G forum now.

That site literally has dozen of sales-related forums. Just for wheels, they have subforums for every inch size. I kid you not. Geeting to the right subforum takes many clicks. I sure do hope that our board never becomes that segmented. That being said, I do think that having one forum for FS and one for WTB seeks to make some sense.

AFAIK Lomag is thinking about WTB and FS split up for private sales...

wtb and for sale are totally opposite, wheels, body kits, etc are in the same category

Ryan

Not really.

For you, maybe.

For me there should only be one forum for all sales, just private, no vendors at all.
See?
That's how different people see things!

This forum is not meant to be a sales place!!!

I think splitting the "Private Member Classifieds" into two subforums of "Want to Sell" and "Want to Buy" is a good idea. This forum overall is not a market place however after looking at that particular subforum and being a fan of organization it seems like a good idea to me. I'm conflicted on how to organize the classifieds subforum especially when the F10 comes out. You'd think that the F10 should have its own section in the classifieds but I dont want to duplicate every subforum currently there for the F10 also but that's probably what is going to happen. We'll see... I'm sure we'll figure something out that works for everyone.

I'm currently thinking something like:

Code:
|- Classifieds
   |- F10 Related Classifieds
   | |- Private Member Classifieds
   | | |- Want to Sell
   | | |- Want to Buy
   | |- Vendor Classifieds
   |- E60 Related Classifieds
   | |- Private Member Classifieds
   | | |- Want to Sell
   | | |- Want to Buy
   | |- Vendor Classifieds
   |- Complete Car Sales (both F10 & E60)
   |- Group Buys (both F10 & E60)
   |- Buyer & Seller Feedback
The complete car sales and group buy subforums arent as active and should be fine having both models in them. The other splits I think all make natural sense. What do you think?
