Member Numbers is getting pretty high!

I can't believe how high the member numbers have climbed up to in three years since I joined this forum! I remember all the discussions back then centered around Bangle-bashing and the new look of the e60. I bet a lot of those Bangle-bashers actually own a e60 now.

I wonder how many of those 8000-odd members are still 'active'?

I joined this forum after buying the car back in '04. I wished so much that I would have found it a month before making the purchase... heck, I did not even know what E60 was, I was just buying a BMW five series. Even back then, this site would have been so helpful to make an educated decision.

My Ride: Its a 535d M-Sport... 19" Alloys, Carbon Black, Lots of bits and I love it!
Its a fantastic forum... I wish I knew it existed before I made my purchase too! I wanted a five series, saw this one and thought wow.. love it! I knew nothing about the car except that it looked good. I have learnt so much from this forum that I can now walk into the dealership with confidence knowing that I am not going to get screwed over!!

Im a new member!!! I will be getting a car soon. I just have a small problem, I don't know what car I should get. It's between a 530i (535i) and the new 3 series hartop 335i. I love the looks of the 5 series because it looks like an executive type car but the new hardtop is pretty tempting. I just don't know what I should get!! I am only 25 and will be graduating within a year. (My current car is a 2001 honda accord coupe with manual transmission). Everyday day I read all the posts to help me make my final decision, but I just dont know yet.
BTW I really like the looks of the 5 series!!!!

My Ride: 07 BMW 525i Premium Package, Xenon Lighting Package, manual Transmission. Titanium Grey, 20% Tint around the back, 70% V-Kool on front.
Planned mods: Style 71 wheels with Toyo Proxy 4 tires, Sachs suspension upgrade, upgraded stereo, and many more to come.
hey i came from a 2000 accord coupe too.
one recommendation: test drive the manual first and see how you like it. the bmw manual is so different from the accord, and i thought the shift and clutch feel is very long on the E60. or if you are getting the step than it doesn't matter...
the 535i seems to have a quicker step, and if i were to do it again, i may ditch the manual....
