How to enable ability to send Private Messages
 

Hi - when i try to send or reply to a PM, i receive the following message:

"You do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."

Also my PM inbox has the following message:
Inbox contains 1 messages. You have 1 messages stored, of a total 0 allowed.

I wasn't able to find a solution on the forums or via google search.

I am a new user, is there a waiting period or other qualifications I have to meet?
