Not sure if it was the software upgrade but my avatar came back for my last post, just as mysteriously as it disappeared a few months ago!

Nope, still didn't work. The file is around 2MB and the message says:

Board Message
Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:
The image upload failed, please contact a system administrator

If you are unsure on how to use a feature...

Does the server notices who he is talking to?
I guess not...

The PDF attachment problem in the gallery has now been fixed!
Hi Mark:

I am so new that I didn't quite know the upgrade was happening when it happened. Also, I am still finding new features so I am not so sure what's new and what's old. I have mentioned before that I really like the software--the best I've ever used--even before the upgrade.

There is one new feature that I am not thrilled with, not that it really matters. First, I like the way posts made in the same thread over a very short time period end up in the same post # box. The bad is that we get credit for only one post. Yeah, I know numbers of posts say nothing about quality of posts, etc., etc. But, numbers do provide participation motivation. And, rapid posts are not necessarily low-quality posts. OK, but, whatever. The posting-game playing field is level--unless, of course, one is a fast typer, thinker, and poster. Maybe such individuals need a handicap anyway.

Well...at 20 posts per day...seems like no additional motivation necessary for you...

I'll burn out some soon. My job is "flexible." When I get bored at work, well .... And, same with when I work at home--which is frequently. And, at night, we usually watch TV. My laptop is always around, for one reason or another, and .... That's about it. I get sort of compulsive about forums sometimes--just enjoy yaking about things I am interested in, want to learn more about, and want to help others with when I can. But, in this regard, posting is an adjunct to my car hobby.

For the most part, I try to put some decent, as I can make it, substance into my posts. And, trying to be a good example (I hope), I try to use proper grammar, sentence structure, spelling, etc., and to be polite, not flame, and show respect for others. Those are the hard part of doing 20 a day. Of course, I take some cheap shots too--mainly being silly.
