I think this has to be the best forum layout I have ever seen. You should really advertise it because it is way better looking the roadfly.org. The icons and color layout is so sweet! Thanks! I will try to help get as many people on this board as possible.

Thanks! We'll probably get off to a very slow start, but hopefully people will find these forums helpful! This is the first time I've used this forum software, so we'll see how it goes. Might be up and down a bit for the first couple days while all the settings get squared away...it seems great so far!

Das, is this broad running on your Mac as well? The color scheme looks very Mac-ish! Anyhow it works great and look great! Is it a freeware?

BTW, Das, is it possible to do real time chat with other logged on members?

It's called Invision Power Board (http://www.invisionboard.com/), and it has unlimited free use, but you pay if you want support. I'll just try it out and see how it goes. It looks nicer than some of the other free board software. And yes, it's also running under Mac OS X on the same machine.

No, but there is a plugin that adds Java chat. It's $75/year, and I'm not sure if it's worth it. I can always add it any time. However, I'm an oper on the slashnet irc network, and was thinking about having a permanent E60 channel there...of course, this requires people get an irc client. The services and controls on slashnet are excellent, and it's very reliable. Maybe I'll make a permanent channel there and post information about it...it probably wouldn't get used all that much, though.

Well, I've registered an E60 channel on slashnet:

http://www.slashnet.org/channels/e60/

For more info, see http://www.slashnet.org/

IRC server: irc.slashnet.org
Channel: #e60

Maybe we could do scheduled chats there or something; who knows.

Cool Forums Dave!

I'd don't drive a BMW and I probably won't be buying an E60 anytime soon but it sure is neat to look around and find out more about this new chassis style that should be here this fall.

The layout around here is slick. OS X power + stability = solid awesome-ness for the Forum powerplant!
