Most other forums have people put up pics of their car and have the members vote for the featured car of the forum, with the history of the purchase and route the member went to modifcations
it would look really cool to have that on the front page and not require much code to write it. It seems we are among the few forums that doesnt do this |
Car of the month! That's a good idea.
|
It would spice up the look of the front page a bit if it had 1 great snapshot and some history behind the car and the owner
hope others agree |
Are we talking about a "hotornot.com" kinda thing?
|
No we are talking about where there is a featured car thread with a voting poll
everyone who wants to submits their best pics and has a lil story behind it ready to be submitted in case they win the other members vote on the car of the month and whoever has the most votes wins and has their car with some pics and their story posted on the homepage of e60.net like this http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=672608 |

Well it SHOULDNT limit to any types of mods whether its DIY or installed by a shop If its DIY then it should be explained by the member but saying that it SHOULD be a DIY mod caveat limits people like me, who are sponsored and dont install parts myself |

I feel it's better appreciated. |

From having done almost all the mods on all my previous cars myself I can say there is a high level of satisfaction and pride that comes from DIY that you just can't duplicate no matter how good the shop is.
And thats awesome and I have respect for that, the problem is that this needs to be open to everyone on the forum, and leave it up to the members to decide if what is more valued I have around $17k in mods in my car, most DIY dont have that or the level of mods I do but I wouldnt want to not give the DIYers the opportunity to showcase what they have. Mods are mods, doesnt matter how you got them installed |
