I've been on other boards that run the same software as this one and a feature called "fast reply" is available.

Basically, a small window pops up that allows a reply to be typed in w/o accsess to smilies, code buttons or anything else.

It's really helpful when typing out a quick response to a post.

Is this something that can be activated for this board?

That'll come in the new version 2.0 as soon as they finalize it.

I wouldn't worry Ice. The smileys will still be there on the "normal" reply screen.

The "fast reply" screen Jimbo is referring to is an additonal way to post.

Actually, where I've seen "Fast Reply", the smilies could be accessed by a button and they would pop up in a window.

Another button could turn a "fast reply" into a regular post (access to http//, etc). I think it's labeled "more options".
